To all our dear friends and supporters,

This week, we would like to ask you to do one simple thing: to pray for those who are requesting for prayers.

For the past weeks, you might have noticed that our Prayer Request link has been growing steadily. Some of these prayer requests are long-term ones that will be regularly appearing in our lists, while some are short-term, only appearing for a week or so. Now regardless of how long these prayers will be on our list, we ask that you join us in praying for these requests.

These are real requests from real people going through real struggles, and the best thing we can do is to pray for them. A lot of these requests are from YL kids who are having a tough time in school, and most of us would know how that feels. So we hope and pray that you are with us in asking the Lord that for guidance, safety, wisdom, and more.

If you yourself have some prayer requests that you would want us to share in the future, please fill up the form using this prayer request link.

Young Life is a ministry that was founded on prayer. We hope and pray that it continues to hold on to the power of prayer. So join us as we pray for every single kid, every young Filipino out there. We all need it more than ever.

Mabuhay!

From all of us,

Your Young Life Philippines Family

My Holy Translator

by: Telay Hernandez

Scripture:

Romans 8:26-27

“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.”

Devotional:

I get so frustrated every time I can't find the words to express my feelings, especially when I'm deeply bothered and anxious over something. It kind of bubbles up inside me, ready to burst. It feels good to just let it out with a deep sigh, or maybe I just cry it out. Some would find a place where they can be alone and scream all of their frustrations and anger out. I guess, at certain moments, you feel the same way, too.

Sometimes when things get so overwhelming and you feel like words can't express what's inside of you, Romans 8:26b is such a wonderful, stable friend we can run to. The verse reminds me of the comfort I get from the Holy Spirit. Everything I'm unable to put into words, He can convey to the Father! He creates a special connection between me and God when words are too difficult to find. My deepest pain and my speechless prayers become loud and clear in the Father's ears because of the Holy Spirit that is always at work within me. He soothes my troubled heart and fills me with His peace. What a great and mighty God we have!

Prayer:

Thank you, Holy Spirit, for always mediating between me and God. Thank you, Jesus, that in the silence of my heart, you are the one who is more than able to give comfort and peace as my perfect holy translator for what is going on inside my heart and mind. Thank you for the full assurance of the Holy Spirit that I am fully understood by You, Father.  Thank you, Lord Jesus!

Amen.
